There are several active logging sales going on in Capitol Forest at this time.  They affect trails 8, 6, 50 and 40.

Trail 8 is closed near the junction of trail 50, this sale has been going on for a few weeks, maybe we'll get lucky and it will end soon.

Trail 50 is closed between 8 and 6, this timber cutting just started.

Greenline 6 is closed from rd4010 to trail 50, same sale that closed 50, we'll have to watch to see how quickly it proceeds.

Trail 40 is closed near jct of C line and D4000.

All these sales are short and are supposed to complete by fall.

2010 Will be a busy year for logging in CF, at least in the most popular areas.  Trails 8, 50, 6 and 40 are affected. 

Trail 8 to be closed from near 5000 rd to trail 50 jct.  It may also be closed nearer to fall creek by the lower portion of the large clearcut below the IMBA trail.

Trail 50 to be closed from jct of C-line to GL6.

GL6 to be closed from above jct 50 to C-line. 

C-line will be closed from 5000rd to 4000rd (jct at top of C-line, 4000 goes to peak)

Trail 40 near the jct of C-line and D4000 (top of the 1st hill up C-line heading into CF).

7000 rd is closed about a mile up from C-line, around bottom of puke hill.  Mt Molly loop trail is so far still open.  Hopefully this will open up before C-line closes.
