Annual Reports
FOCF's annual report is submitted every year to the Washington Secretary of State Corporations and Charities Division in order to maintain our nonprofit status, but also serves as a great tool for tracking FOCF's progress with various projects and community engagement with FOCF. 2023
What we accomplished in 2023:

Sanctioned new trail at North Slope, called Slick Jimmy

Purchase new work party trailer for North Slope

First annual bike swap meet

We have 280 current members as of 12/31/2023. An increase of 32% since December 2022!

We are increasing our trail mileage every year and our volunteers maintain over 60 miles of trails, ensuring our trail systems are in tip top shape for our trail users.
2022
What we accomplished in 2022:

Built the Lower Bones extension at North Slope called Upper Bones

Built Phase I of North Slope climbing trail, Bio-Char

Purchased Huckwagon for fundraising events

Advocated for the use of box vans for shuttle day events at North Slope

We had 211 current members as of 12/16/2022. An increase of 31% since March 2022!

We are increasing our trail mileage every year and our volunteers maintain over 58
miles of trails, ensuring our trail systems are in tip top shape for our trail users.
2021
What we accomplished in 2021:

We began the planning process for a parking lot at the North Slope Trails.

We completed the new blue level trail, Bones, at the North Slope trail system. This is a new technical trail that will get extended further up the mountain.

We have 161 current members as of 3/22/22!

We successfully advocated through the City of Olympia Parks & Recreation Department ‘Engage’ program to continue the development of the Kaiser Woods Bike Park.

Despite the pandemic, our volunteers maintained over 56 miles of trails, ensuring our trail systems were in tip-top shape and ready for the enormous increase in trail users over the past year. No complaints of poorly maintained trails all year long.
2020
What we accomplished in 2020:

We built a new picnic/event shelter at Fall Creek Trailhead, complete with fire pit, bike tool station, a new kiosk, tables, benches, and more.

We completed the new blue level trail, Livin’ the Dream, at the North Slope trail. system. This is a new flow trail that connects with the lower short trails.

We launched our first ever membership drive. Our membership is at 122 members!

We successfully advocated through the City of Olympia Parks & Recreation Department ‘Engage’ program to select Concept Plan 3 for the new Yelm Highway Community Sports Park. This concept included a “bike skills park” as part of the design of this new community park.

We successfully advocated through the City of Olympia Parks & Recreation Department’s ‘Engage’ program to obtain the most “Likes” for Asphalt Pumptrack to be added as part of the City’s new 6-Year Master Parks Plan.
